Automotive window tinting is a special process where a thin, colored film is put on the inside of your car windows. This film helps block out the sun’s heat and bright light, making your car cooler and more comfortable. It also makes your windows look darker and more stylish. The tint is like a tiny shield that keeps the inside of your car from getting too hot.
The tinting film is carefully cut to fit each window perfectly. Once it’s in place, it sticks to the glass and can’t be seen from the outside. This not only helps protect your car from the sun but also gives you more privacy because people can’t see inside as easily.
Tinting must be applied above the AS-1 line. If there is no AS-1 line, tinting must end five inches below the top of the windshield. A clear (un-tinted) UV film is allowed anywhere on the front windshield without a medical exemption being required.
Tint must allow 25% of Visible Light Transmission (VLT) or more to pass through.
Any shade of tint can be used.
